Theresa wins back-to-back debates
Theresa Greenfield for Iowa campaign manager Jordanna Zeigler released the following statement on Theresa’s victory in tonight’s U.S. Senate debate hosted by KCCI after winning last night’s Iowa Press debate:
“In tonight’s debate, not only did Theresa share her clear vision for putting hardworking Iowa families first in the U.S. Senate, but she showed why she’s the strongest candidate to bring Iowans together to flip this seat and defeat Senator Ernst. Theresa will work to expand opportunity for Iowa’s small towns and rural communities, stand up to corporate special interests and work to end Washington’s corruption, and make sure that every Iowan can do their job safely and with dignity.
“Tonight, voters across the state saw the same grit and resolve that earned Theresa the support of dozens of Iowa leaders and local labor organizations representing tens of thousands of Iowa workers. It’s clearer than ever that Theresa is the candidate best-prepared to bring Iowans together in this race and to put Iowa’s working families first in Washington.”
In addition to postponing in-person events, the Greenfield for Iowa campaign is taking precautions by having all staff work remotely and encouraging social distancing practices at all times. The campaign also recently launched a new webpage to help Iowans vote by mail so that all Iowans can participate safely in the upcoming election.
