Jordanna Zeigler, Theresa Greenfield for Iowa campaign manager, released the following statement on Theresa’s winning performance in tonight’s Iowa Senate Debate:
“Theresa’s impressive performance at tonight’s Senate debate made clear that she is the strongest candidate to take on Senator Joni Ernst in November and put Iowa’s hardworking families first. Theresa demonstrated her commitment to the issues that matter most to Iowans – protecting and expanding access to affordable, quality health care, strengthening Social Security, ending Washington’s corruption, and taking urgent climate action that creates jobs and opportunities throughout Iowa.
“Tonight’s performance showed why she has earned the endorsement of dozens of Iowa leaders, over twenty local labor unions and organizations representing thousands of Iowa workers, and built an enthusiastic grassroots team of Iowans from all 99 counties who trust her to get the job done. In tonight’s debate, she proved that she’s the candidate who will flip this U.S. Senate seat.”
In addition to postponing in-person events, the Greenfield for Iowa campaign is taking precautions by having all staff work remotely and encouraging social distancing practices at all times. The campaign also recently launched a new webpage to help Iowans vote by mail so that all Iowans can participate safely in the upcoming election.
